After much study and researching the MLM Business model we have found that the MLM/ Network Marketing Model is very powerful, but very miss-understood. This business model when done properly can provide the home business owner unlimited income potential but when not understood can cause disaster.

The MLM/ Network Marketing industry will exceed 200 Billion Dollars annually in 2010 which proves that this industry is a valid and solid industry. With an industry this large there has to be people making large sums of money. It’s the old “80/20 Rule”, where 20% percent of the people are doing 80% of the business and making 80% of the revenue. So when we saw this information we decided to find out what the 20% were doing. We already knew that the 80% were only making 20% of the revenue so when looking at the 20% who were successful we had to understand why they were successful.

The 80 percent Group...

But first, before we discuss what the 20% were doing, let’s talk about the 80%. We found that this group was doing it all wrong, and leading others to doing it all wrong. This was literally “the blind leading the blind”. The 80% group was highly miss-informed and unenlightened as to how to run this business model properly. We found that they were leading groups of people to failure and that the groups they were leading had a very high turnover. People would join then others would leave, leaving the business to be flat in growth. Then we say these leaders leave and go into another business, in all cases looking for the “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow”. This was why the 80% were only making 20% of the revenue.

We also realized that the 80% group were always looking for systems and software to grow their business. They would sign up for internet systems, phone calling systems, leads, and other computer software programs that were touted to grow a persons business to incredible levels when all that happened was that these people lost their money. This group was set up for failure right from the beginning, telling everyone that they were going to make it big, and big never happens.

I could go into more of why the 80% fail, but you already know why and if you are reading this because you happen to be in the 80% group then you have witnessed it first hand. Let’s go into the 20% and understand what they do.

The 20% Group...

Within this group 80% of the revenues are received and the most efficient activity takes place. This group does not use lead generation software and internet systems that proclaim huge results. They utilize a simple approach that was developed 50 years ago when the MLM/ Networking Model was conceived. Remember, this model was created long before there was the internet and technology, and it worked masterfully then so why does anyone think that the technology will make a person successful now?

Technology will help in making things efficient, and allow the leverage of time where one person can run a massive group using the internet and programs. But nowhere will a software package replace any business building strategy.

This group is fully aware of how to attract their ideal distributor or member, and what is done to guide others into the winning model. This group understands that this is not a sales, or product selling model but an education model, and when approached in this manor success is almost guaranteed. Of course there is no control over the individual and the effort they put into their success, but when all the ingredients are done properly then success is emanate.

You have probably heard that you need the right mentor, and I can’t tell you how many bad mentors there are and how much harm they do. The 20% use mentors that have a proven track record. They do their Due Diligence and make sure they join the right group and company.
